On December 5, Singapore based XSEED Education, creators of the unique XSEED method of teaching-learning that challenges traditional rote education, announced the appointment of Neetasha Joshi, former COO of Café Coffee Day as country manager and business head for India. The appointment signals XSEED’s continued focus on attracting top talent to drive accelerated growth in India’a high-potential K-12 space.
XSEED is known for its pioneering XSEED Program and XSEED MAX Digital Program that have challenged the hegemony of traditional publisher business in schools. XSEED presently reaches one million children in eight countries across Asia. Children who have studied in the XSEED system are widely acknowldged as more confident, better at problem solving, and better communicators in English.
Neetasha joins XSEED following a successful stint at Cafe Coffee Day, where she consolidated the business and delivered higher profitability. Earlier for Royal Sundaram insurance, she built their agency business from scratch. An IIM Calcutta alumna, Neetasha has over two decades of rich experience across diverse industries spanning FMCG (Cadbury & Coke), BFSI (Tata AIG), and retail operations.
Commenting on the appointment, Ashish Rajpal, founder and CEO of XSEED, said “We chose Neetasha as she is an exceptional professional who brings deep experience in scaling businesses across several industries and most importantly embodies passion for our mission to educate young children. She will impact the way we do work – more professionalism, greater eye for detail, stronger systems, and strengthen teams to embody a culture of excellence. I wish her all success in this challenging role.”
Speaking about what attracted her to XSEED, Neetasha noted, “The ability of impacting millions through education is inspirational in itself. XSEED has pioneered it already. I see XSEED as an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where I can bring in my experience and business skills to impact the way classrooms teach to even more schools and children.”
Founded by Ashish Rajpal, a Harvard alum who quit an international corporate career to pursue his vision for children, XSEED is among the few companies in K-12 education that has demonstrated innovation, scale, impact, and commercial success.
