Overview

Xseed Preschool, sited at Sarjapur Road in Bangalore, was founded in 2010 by Anita Bharadwaj and Rathika Pounraj. Xseed uses the iDiscovery pre-school curriculum which is scientifically designed keeping in mind how each child can learn best. It follows a culture which encourages children to explore. As a ‘green’ preschool, it emphasizes on appreciating and protecting the environment through the principles of the three ‘R’s – reduce, recycle and reuse.

The school was ranked No.14 among preschools in Bangalore by the Education World survey in 2012.

Campus

Being a ‘green’ preschool, the environment is created for and by the child. The campus offers large open spaces, hygienic and well-ventilated kitchen and classrooms, gardens, a creative studio and child-sized washrooms. The school organizes field trips for the students.

Academics

The school offers various programmes for children of the age group 1.6 years to 6 years. The academic programme is grouped into four sections – playgroup, nursery, LKG and UKG. The curriculum for each section is designed from western and eastern educational philosophies such as those of Sri Aurobindo, Howard Gardner, Krishnamurthy, Reggio Emilia and Maria Montessori.

The Xseed early year programme for toddlers to 6-year olds is built around six core areas:

Xseed preschool uses a thematic approach to integrate concept formation.
