Young baker to host baking fundraiser to help badminton player

Vinusha MK, a 12-year-old-baker from Chennai is spearheading an interactive fundraiser on Milaap 360, the newest holistic online giving solution from Milaap, on July 16 at 4.00 p.m. to help Hruitvik Ambekar, an international badminton athlete, reach a higher world ranking.

“Ambedkar has got a lot of opportunities to play in Europe representing India. His ranking has gone up to 60 and he needs some financial support to travel to other countries, hence I am helping him,” said the young entrepreneur.

The teenage entrepreneur who mostly runs her cafe from home, invited participation in her fundraising campaign requesting parents to help their children get enrolled for the baking session.

Previously too, she worked with Milaap to conduct a fundraiser baking class. All the proceeds were sent to help the street vendors of Chennai who were rendered jobless due to the COVID pandemic and the lockdown.

Vinusha’s bakery Four Seasons is inspired by the seasons around the year. “For winters, the cupcakes seem to have snow on top of them, for summers, I add a bright yellow hue, for springs, there would be a flower on top of the cake and for autumn, I add a leaf,” said Vinusha.

Vinusha plans to take up Bakery as a profession when she grows up. She wants to build the business and steer it to success. Just like all success stories, Four Seasons too had a humble beginning- it started three years back with the first attempt at baking a birthday cake for her mother. After trying out a few more items, she hit upon the perfect recipe and consistency for baking a cake and never looked back. Currently, Vinusha is kept busy conducting live classes on social media to drive more people into the world of baking in addition to running her entrepreneurial venture at this tender age.
