The Masters in management degree is a relatively new phenomenon compared to the time-tested MBA. European B-schools such as London Business School and HEC Paris offer the MiM programme which is open to graduates with minimal workplace experience. On the other hand, most MBA programmes require applicants to have two-five years of work experience.

The MiM degree is similar to other postgraduate degrees in economics, psychology or the natural sciences. For many employers, MiM is just another graduate degree whereas an MBA has worldwide reputation.
