Global Schools Group (GSG) has awarded its Global Citizen Scholarship (GCS) to 12 students from across India, providing them with fully funded opportunities to pursue Grades 11 and 12 in Singapore.
Announced at a felicitation ceremony in New Delhi, the 19th edition of the scholarship programme recognised students selected through an evaluation process based on academic performance, leadership potential and holistic development. Eight students will study at the GIIS SMART Campus, while four will attend the OWIS Digital Campus in Singapore.
Launched in 2008, the Global Citizen Scholarship covers tuition fees, boarding, accommodation, living expenses and a stipend for the two-year senior secondary programme. According to GSG, the scholarship represents an investment of approximately Rs 1 crore per student.
Speaking at the event, Pramod Tripathi, Director – Academics, Global Schools Group, said the scholarship supports students with the potential to lead and contribute in an increasingly interconnected world.
Dr Biswajit Saha, Professor and Director of Skill Education and Training, CBSE, who attended the event as chief guest, said scholarships such as the GCS help recognise and nurture young talent while encouraging academic achievement, leadership and character development.
Rajeev Koul, Deputy COO, Global Schools Group, said the programme reflects the organisation’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to pursue global education and develop into socially responsible individuals.
