Nottingham Trent University held on-campus scholarship celebration events at its City Campus in Nottingham, recognising international students, including Indian recipients, for the current academic year.
The events took place across two evenings and brought together students from the September 2025 and January 2026 intakes. A total of 1,596 scholarships were awarded, including 524 to Indian students.
The university said the initiative aimed to acknowledge academic achievement while supporting students as they begin campus life. Scholarship recipients were presented certificates by academic staff and had the opportunity to engage with faculty members and peers.
The events also featured performances by the NTU Pop Choir, along with activities and refreshments for attendees.
The recognised students received merit-based awards, including the NTU Excellence Awards and the India Prestigious University Award, across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Anna Audhali said the events were intended to recognise student achievement and help them feel connected to the university community from the outset, noting strong participation from Indian students.
Student attendees shared their experiences, describing the university environment as welcoming and supportive.
The university said such initiatives reflect a broader shift in international education, where student experience and sense of belonging are becoming key considerations alongside academic outcomes.
