The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the deadline for Class 12 students to apply for verification and re-evaluation of answer sheets by one day, until midnight on 7 June.
The decision follows reports from students who faced difficulties accessing answer books and submitting applications through the board’s post-result services portal, which was launched on 2 June.
In a post on X, the CBSE said the extension was granted to provide students with additional time to complete the process.
The board had earlier set the deadline for midnight on 6 June.
The online portal allows students to report issues in scanned copies of answer books, including missing pages, supplementary sheets, maps or graphs, blurred pages, incorrect answer books, or evaluation against a different question paper set. Students may also apply for re-evaluation of answers.
The extension comes amid concerns raised by some Class 12 students who claimed that scanned copies of their answer sheets uploaded by the CBSE did not match their handwriting, prompting questions over the board’s on-screen marking (OSM) system.
Separately, the Cabinet Secretariat has constituted a one-member committee to examine the procurement of services for the OSM system by the CBSE.
