Top Two Podcast, hosted by childhood friends Dr Ayesha Shaikh and Leena Jani, is expanding its reach with conversations featuring entrepreneurs, business leaders and professionals, as podcast consumption continues to grow in India.
Drawing on their experience across education, consulting, pharmaceuticals, energy and the travel industry, the hosts discuss topics including leadership, travel, productivity, personal development and entrepreneurship. Each episode concludes with “Top Two” takeaways, while the podcast’s “Top Two Academy” segment features guests sharing practical insights from their fields.
Speaking about the podcast, Dr Ayesha Shaikh and Leena Jani said it was created with the belief that every individual has experiences and lessons that can benefit others. They said the platform aims to highlight the journeys behind professional success and the challenges people overcome to achieve it.
A recent episode featured Aakanksha Gupta, founder and chief executive of public relations consultancy The Other Circle, who discussed influencer management, reputation building and crisis communication. Reflecting on her appearance, Gupta said the conversation provided an opportunity to share her career journey and the experiences that led to establishing her firm.
The podcast currently features founders, industry leaders and business professionals, with plans to expand its focus to include stories of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
According to the creators, Top Two Podcast has recorded more than one million views and over 15,000 subscribers within 18 months of its launch. They also cited projections indicating continued growth in India’s podcast industry, with increasing demand for long-form conversations.
The first season, titled 10 Women of Top Two, features conversations with women entrepreneurs from sectors including architecture, education, design, gifting, food and entertainment, combining personal experiences with practical advice for listeners.
