The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the University Grants Commission (UGC), seeking the immediate release of the UGC NET June 2026 provisional answer key and results.
The memorandum was submitted to UGC secretary Shyama Rath, the organisation said in a statement.
ABVP urged the UGC to direct the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the provisional answer key and declare the results at the earliest. It said the delay has left lakhs of candidates uncertain about their academic and career plans.
The UGC NET June 2026 examination was conducted from June 22 to 30. The examination determines eligibility for assistant professorship, admission to PhD programmes and the award of the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).
ABVP said that more than a month after the examination, the provisional answer key and results have not been released, and there has been no official update from the NTA.
The organisation has sought the immediate release of the answer key, timely declaration of results, a public explanation for the delay and a fixed timeline for future national examinations.
ABVP national general secretary Virendra Singh Solanki said timely examination processes and regular official communication are necessary to maintain candidates’ confidence.
He said the prolonged delay was affecting the academic, research and career plans of UGC NET aspirants.
