ECIS and NMAJS to host leadership conference on human flourishing

The Educational Collaborative for International Schools (ECIS) and Nita Mukesh Ambani Junior School (NMAJS) will host their first joint leadership conference in Mumbai on October 23 and 24, 2026.

The conference will focus on human flourishing in schools, bringing together education leaders from India and the international schools community to examine how students, teachers and school communities can thrive.

Marc Brackett, Founding Director of the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, will deliver the opening keynote and lead a workshop on recognising, understanding, labelling, expressing and regulating emotions. He will also participate in a leadership panel on the first day.

Helen Morgan, Head of Leadership Development and Learning at ECIS, will lead sessions on middle leadership and leadership development, alongside Meenakshi Elangovan of Inventure Academy. She will also deliver the closing keynote.

Other speakers include Rebecca Tickell, who will lead sessions on research cultures and mentoring, and Marsha Maxwell, Head of Innovation, Research and Technology at Atlanta International School, who will examine the role of AI in schools and its impact on school culture.

Day Two will include a sponsor spotlight by Toddle on using AI to create more time for human interaction, followed by a keynote from Tim Stuart of Search Associates. Stuart will also present the Children at Promise framework and a session on leadership pathways.

NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences will contribute to sessions on international teacher education across both days.

The programme will also cover high-impact teams, social-emotional learning through cinema, child protection frameworks for India, future skills in the context of AI, inclusive leadership and women’s leadership. A workshop will focus on a Flourishing Framework for K-12 schools.

The two-day conference will feature more than 40 sessions and bring together education leaders around the theme of human flourishing in schools.
