Vignana Jyothi Institute of Management (VJIM), Hyderabad, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) – Institute of Logistics to strengthen industry-oriented learning and career opportunities for its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) students.
The partnership aims to integrate industry expertise, practical training and corporate engagement into VJIM’s PGDM programme, preparing students for careers in India’s logistics and supply chain sector.
Under the MoU, CII Institute of Logistics will facilitate industry-led classroom sessions, interactions with professionals, corporate mentorship, industrial visits, internships and placement support. Students will gain exposure to procurement, inventory optimisation, transportation management, demand forecasting and digital supply chain systems, including the application of artificial intelligence and automation in logistics.
The collaboration will also provide students with opportunities to understand industry practices and explore career pathways across logistics companies, e-commerce, manufacturing, retail, consulting and Global Capability Centres (GCCs).
Dr. Bharat Bhushan Singh, Director, VJIM, said the partnership would bring industry expertise and real-world business challenges into the learning process, helping students develop the practical skills and professional competencies required by employers.
Mr. R. Dinesh, Chairman, CII Institute of Logistics, said the collaboration aimed to strengthen industry-academia engagement and develop management professionals capable of addressing emerging supply chain challenges.
The MoU also seeks to align student development initiatives with changing industry requirements, particularly in digitalisation, sustainability and integrated supply chain management.
