Air India recently partnered with Educate Girls, a not-for-profit organisation that has redefined access to education for girls in India’s remotest regions. They have helped more than 2 million girls find their way back to education after they had dropped out of school.
This year, Educate Girls received the 2025 Ramon Magsaysay Awards, one of Asia’s most prestigious honours, often regarded as the region’s equivalent of the Nobel Prize. The award celebrates the NGO’s steadfast work in mobilising communities and ensuring that every girl has the right to education and opportunity. To mark this proud moment, Air India sponsored the travel of Educate Girls students, flying them from Delhi to Manila and back for the ceremony.
For many of these bright young students, this journey marked their first experience of flying, and Air India turned it into a memorable milestone in their lives. The frontline team went above and beyond to ensure that it was more than just a flight for the students — more like a heartfelt celebration of their dreams taking flight.

Adding to the celebrations, the pilot in command made a special in-flight announcement for them, making the occasion even more meaningful. Air India was delighted to offer first-flyer certificates to the students who were overjoyed to witness the experience.
From the warm hospitality to the care extended throughout their travel, every touchpoint reflected Air India’s commitment to making the journey truly special for these students. The partnership marks a step towards empowerment and appreciation for young women who deserve an equal opportunity to bring out their potential and achieve milestones.
At Air India, the spirit of service and giving back to the nation extends beyond the skies. The airline believes that education and empowerment are essential in shaping a brighter and more equitable future.
