The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the Ladakh government, has launched a month-long academic support programme for Class 10 and 12 students in government schools across the Union Territory.

The in-person programme, being conducted from September 14 to October 14, aims to prepare students for the CBSE board examinations through classroom-based academic support.

Classes are being held in Leh, Nubra, Sham, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo, Chiktan and other high-altitude areas.

The sessions cover subject-specific preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques, time management and approaches to answering questions.

More than 250 teachers and resource persons from CBSE-affiliated schools across India have been nominated to conduct the sessions.

CBSE Secretary Varun Bhardwaj said the programme was designed to strengthen conceptual understanding, improve examination preparedness and provide targeted academic support. It is also expected to improve learning outcomes among government school students in Ladakh.
