Eduleader Speaks: Kanchan Khandke, Principal, Ecole Globale International Girls School

In this episode of Edu Leader speaks, EducationWorld’s Reshma Ravishanker interviewed Kanchan Khandke. Kanchan Khandke is the principal of Ecole Globale International Girls School.

A history postgraduate of Presidency University, Kolkata and a trained IB educator, Kanchan has been the principal of the School since May 2023. She has three decades of teaching and admin experience in Mayo College School, Ajmer, the Hutchings High School, Indus International School, National Defence Academy – all in Pune and Welham Girls’ School, Dehradun.

She has held various leadership posts in these schools. She is most popular for her initiatives that prioritize the wellbeing of the students and teaching staff by introducing wellness and mental health support programmes. She was also the force behind the establishment of an entrepreneurship incubator on campus to encourage students to explore innovative ideas and participate in projects.

The IKS movement is not a triumphalist celebration of the past but a serious effort to rediscover, debate and revive India’s knowledge traditions, despite the inevitable exaggerations and political appropriations that accompany such a process."
