Goa Institute of Management names Supria Dhanda first woman Founding Donor

Goa Institute of Management (GIM) has recognised alumna Supria Dhanda (MBA, Class of 1998) as the Institute’s first woman Founding Donor of the GIM Endowment Fund following her contribution of ₹1.025 crore, one of the largest alumni donations in the Institute’s history.

In recognition of her contribution, GIM has named one of its student residence halls after Dhanda. She has also been included among the inaugural honourees on the Institute’s Star Walk, an alumni donor recognition installation.

Dhanda was felicitated during GIM’s Foundation Day celebrations by director Prof. Ajit Parulekar in the presence of faculty, students, alumni and invited guests. She is currently co-founder and managing partner at WYSER and founder of the BAGGGEL Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Dhanda said her contribution to the Endowment Fund was a way of giving back to the institution and expressed hope that more alumni would support future generations of students.

Prof. Parulekar said alumni contributions reflected confidence in the Institute’s future and would help create opportunities for students through the Endowment Fund.

Developed in collaboration with Univariety, the GIM Endowment Fund aims to promote alumni philanthropy and support the Institute’s long-term priorities in academics, innovation and student development.
