Students from Greenwood High International School recorded multiple podium finishes at the 17th State Level Bangalore School Olympics – Athletics Championship 2026, held at the Kitturu Rani Chennamma Stadium, Bengaluru. The event, organised by the Youngsters Sports Promoters Trust, saw participation from nearly 40 schools across the city.
Greenwood High athletes competed in Under-8 to Under-16 categories across track and field events including javelin throw, hurdles, shot put and relay races.
Aariya Maan (Grade 6) won the gold medal in the Under-14 javelin throw. Ansh Sandeep (Grade 4) secured silver in the 60m hurdles. The Under-12 (4×100m) relay team — Rohini Sindhu Prasad (Grade 5), Hanvitha Koneru (Grade 6), Ilaria Anna Melvin (Grade 6) and Aayushi Karnath (Grade 6) — also won silver.
Bronze medals were won by Navika Vasu Reddy (Grade 8) in Under-16 shot put, Pranvuta Palasandram (Grade 7) in Under-14 javelin throw, and Ilaria Anna Melvin (Grade 6) in Under-12 shot put. The Under-8 (4×50m) relay team comprising Renit Shrivastava (Grade 1), Kriday Kalra (Grade 1), Marcus Miranda (Grade 2) and Aadhav Pradeep (Grade 2) also secured a bronze medal.
Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee of Greenwood High International School, said the results reflected the students’ commitment and the support of coaches and faculty, adding that the school considers sports an important part of overall development.
The students competed over a two-day programme against participants from nearly 40 Bengaluru schools.
