At Inventure Academy, education is not just about preparing learners for life — it is about enabling them to create and shape it. The school’s core purpose is to empower learners to realise their full potential, ignite change, and create positive impact. Inventurepreneurship brings this purpose to life.
Inventurepreneurship is India’s first school-wide, continuous entrepreneurship programme, running from Primary through Senior School with a clear progression, strong partnerships, and a deep India-first lens that connects confidently to the world.
Born from the founders’ entrepreneurial spirit and nurtured daily by the faculty and students, Inventurepreneurship is not just about start-ups. It is about unlocking potential — nurturing curiosity, encouraging imagination, building discipline, and fostering the joy of bringing ideas to life.
Why Entrepreneurship, and Why Now
In a world that no longer offers answer keys and instead demands imagination, resilience, empathy, and action, Inventurepreneurship equips learners with essential skills.
Through this programme, students learn to:
● Identify problems that matter
● Ask bold, meaningful questions
● Work with stakeholders and the wider community to design and test solutions
● Rise stronger from failure
● Lead with courage, compassion, and integrity
The school believes India must create more unicorns — not only billion-dollar companies, but world-changing ideas. Inventurepreneurship helps learners realise that they can create such “unicorns” in business, sustainability, civic life, and wherever imagination meets purpose.
From Spark to Movement
Entrepreneurial thinking at Inventure Academy extends far beyond start-ups; it defines how students engage with the world.
In 2014, the school launched Our Voice, a civic engagement platform that began with Our Safety Our Voice, a collaboration with UNICEF that gathered the views of over 1,000 children and helped shape Karnataka’s Child Safety & Protection Law.
Subsequent initiatives included Our Lakes Our Voice, mobilising students and teachers to work on conserving Bengaluru’s lakes; Our Future Our Voice, bringing youth and educators together to discuss India’s Draft National Education Policy; Our Traffic Our Voice; and the current Our Mobility Our Voice, which involves learners and civic leaders in reimagining the city’s infrastructure, road safety, and public transport.
The Our Voice platform reinforces that meaningful change begins with empathy and collaboration — and that young people can influence law, policy, and public behaviour.
Partnerships with the American India Foundation (AIF), Whitefield Rising, Whitefield Ready, IISc, B.PAC, and Srishti provide students with authentic contexts to test ideas and deepen impact, demonstrating that real changemaking happens through partnership and shared purpose.
A Spiralling Continuum
Inventurepreneurship grows with the learner:
● Primary School: Through the Impact Maker Programme, children design simple enterprises, discover individuality, and learn teamwork.
● Middle School: As Community Entrepreneurs, students investigate real-world problems and translate inquiry into impact.
● Senior School: Students run real-world pilots — writing proposals, pitching ideas, budgeting, and testing solutions in the wider community.
At every stage, learners experience the excitement of trying, the resilience of persisting, and the joy of seeing ideas take flight.
Walking the Talk
Inventure Academy recognises that it cannot expect students to take risks, innovate, and collaborate unless the adults in the ecosystem do the same.
Professional development at the school is not an event but a culture. Faculty members continually engage in learning that stretches their practice and deepens their impact. The school invests in programmes that strengthen both heart and mind — encouraging educators to lead with empathy, experiment with new approaches, and design meaningful learning experiences.
This commitment advanced significantly in 2022 when 36 faculty members completed the Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Education at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education (Penn GSE).
Leaders, teachers, and students all thinking and acting entrepreneurially contribute to Inventure’s identity as a living ecosystem of continuous growth, innovation, and purpose.
The Bigger Vision
Inventurepreneurship reflects the school’s core values — developing individuality and teamwork, maximising learning opportunities, pursuing excellence, practising sensitivity and compassion, balancing freedom with responsibility, and cultivating dynamism.
Inventure Academy is proud to build this movement in India, rooted in local culture and communities, while preparing learners to be global citizens who carry Indian innovation and heart to the world stage. Make in India, for the world.
The school strives to raise dreamers, builders, and changemakers who live its purpose — young people who continue to discover their potential, act with integrity, and aim to create positive impact in all they do.
