Marwadi University has announced that Harmanpreet Kaur, captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, will be the chief guest at its 8th Convocation Ceremony, scheduled for 22 November at 5:00 pm on the university campus in Rajkot.
The convocation will confer degrees across engineering, management, science, law, commerce, pharmacy, physiotherapy and liberal studies. The programme will also recognise academic achievement, research contributions and student-led innovations from the Class of 2025.
Trustee Dhruv Marwadi said the university was honoured to welcome Kaur, noting that her professional journey reflects qualities the institution seeks to instil in its graduates. He added that her presence would offer motivation as students begin their careers.
Kaur, known for her leadership in Indian women’s cricket, is expected to deliver a keynote address focusing on perseverance, discipline and approaches to high-performance environments.
The ceremony will include degree presentations, awards for distinction and recognition of notable student projects.
