The overall pass percentage for the Pre-University College-2 (PUC-2) Examination-1 in Karnataka stood at 81.58 per cent, according to the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board.
The examination was conducted from February 28 to March 17 across 1,217 centres in the state. Of the 6,94,545 students who appeared, 5,66,608 passed.
Girls recorded a pass percentage of 88.70 per cent, compared to 83.65 per cent among boys.
Among college categories, residential PU colleges recorded a pass percentage of 93.99 per cent, followed by unaided colleges at 90.73 per cent, aided colleges at 78.72 per cent, and government colleges at 57.11 per cent.
Category-wise, General and 3A segments recorded pass percentages of 92.69 per cent and 92.22 per cent respectively. SC and ST categories also showed improvement compared to the previous year.
English medium students recorded a pass percentage of 90.63 per cent, while Kannada medium students recorded 76.41 per cent.
A total of 1,70,529 students secured distinction, while 2,95,385 passed in first class.
Students can access their results through the official portal and mobile applications.
The PUC-2 Examination-2 will be held from April 30 to May 13, with online registration open until April 17. Applications for scanned copies of answer scripts will be accepted from April 10 to April 15, and revaluation applications from April 12 to April 17. Fees are Rs 530 per subject for scanned copies and Rs 1,670 for revaluation.
