Sunstone has launched ALTA School of Technology, an AI-led computer science programme aimed at aligning engineering education with industry requirements.
ALTA is the continuation of Sunstone Select, an engineering initiative launched in 2023, which has enrolled more than 600 students across partner campuses. The new school focuses exclusively on AI and computer science education, following a project-based learning model.
India produces over 1.5 million engineering graduates annually, with fewer than 10 per cent prepared for AI and product-led roles. ALTA has been designed to address this gap through applied learning and industry exposure.
The programme follows a build-from-day-one approach and is delivered in partnership with UGC- and AICTE-approved institutes. Students receive industry tools at the start of the course, including access to multiple AI platforms. The curriculum includes instruction from industry professionals, development of more than 20 projects, AI lab training, and a mandatory six-month apprenticeship.
Graduates complete the programme with a GitHub portfolio and participate in competitive coding, mock interviews, and portfolio-led hiring processes. The programme offers access to over 1,000 recruiting partners.
Admissions are open for the 2026 batch through the ALTA Scholastic Aptitude Test (A-SAT), with merit-based scholarships of up to 100 per cent tuition support.
