Three Indian students were among around 40 people injured in an attack at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, according to a media report on Tuesday.
Two of the injured Indian students are undergoing treatment in hospital, The Australia Today news portal reported. Their identities have not been disclosed and their medical condition has not been formally confirmed.
The injuries were sustained during a shooting on Sunday at the Hanukkah by the Sea gathering. Police said Naveed Akram, 24, and his 50-year-old father opened fire at the event.
At least 15 people were killed in the attack, including a 10-year-old child. Five of the injured remain in critical condition, while two police officers are reported to be in serious but stable condition.
New South Wales Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said the investigation is widening as further details emerge, including international travel by the alleged attackers and the recovery of extremist material.
