UP Social Welfare Department, BSAI sign MoU to support boarding school development

The Department of Social Welfare, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and the Boarding Schools’ Association of India (BSAI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on July 22 to collaborate on the development of a proposed model boarding school in Greater Noida and strengthen around 120 Jay Prakash Narayan Sarvodaya Vidyalayas run by the department.

Under the MoU, BSAI may, where requested, offer guidance in areas such as:

– Educational philosophy and school culture

– Campus aesthetics and learning environment

– Academic and pedagogical frameworks

– Teacher preparation and professional development

– Administrative and operational best practices

– Any other area mutually agreed upon by the parties

The agreement aims to support capacity-building and institutional development through knowledge sharing and mentorship.

The MoU was signed in Lucknow in the presence of Shri Asim Arun, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Social Welfare and SC/ST Welfare, and Captain A. J. Singh, President of BSAI, who attended the event online.
