upGrad’s corporate skilling division, upGrad Enterprise, has announced a collaboration with JNS Cloud Solutions to deliver artificial intelligence and cloud training programmes across Africa.
The partnership aims to address the region’s digital skills gap by combining upGrad Enterprise’s learning programmes with JNS Cloud Solutions’ capabilities in cloud infrastructure, AI deployment and enterprise integration.
Under the collaboration, upGrad Enterprise will provide AI and cloud certification courses, while JNS Cloud Solutions will support deployment environments, cloud laboratories and enterprise integration pathways. The programme is designed to support workforce development, industry adoption and government-aligned skilling initiatives.
Nagaraju Gurrala, chief executive officer of JNS Cloud Solutions, said the collaboration seeks to build an AI and cloud skilling ecosystem that links education with deployment and employment opportunities across the region.
The initiative will follow a “Learn–Build–Deploy–Employ” model aimed at providing learners with certifications alongside hands-on experience in cloud environments. It will target university graduates, working professionals and enterprise workforce upskilling programmes, as well as public and private sector digital transformation initiatives.
Dhruv Mehra, global head of upGrad Enterprise, said the partnership is intended to connect training programmes directly with enterprise cloud environments and support digital transformation needs across African markets.
As part of the agreement, JNS Cloud Solutions — a South Africa-based Microsoft Gold Partner and BBBEE Level 1 technology services provider — will act as upGrad Enterprise’s reseller and training partner in the region.
The programmes will focus on training in artificial intelligence and machine learning, cloud technologies, data engineering and analytics, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
The first phase of the rollout will focus on South Africa, with plans to expand into other African markets.
