The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has unveiled its AADARSH (Advanced and Dependable Assessment & Resourceful Secured Hub) Pariksha Kendra initiative, aimed at modernising India’s largest recruitment examinations with secure, transparent, and candidate-friendly processes.
Announcing the reforms, SSC Chairman Shri S. Gopalakrishnan said the initiative marks a step towards “SSC 2.0”, aligned with the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. Each year, over 20 million candidates sit SSC exams including CGL, CHSL, MTS and Constable GD, making the reforms critical for fair and efficient assessments.
The first phase will introduce 8,000 seats under AADARSH Pariksha Kendras, equipped with ISO-certified infrastructure, air-conditioned halls, AI-enabled CCTV surveillance, biometric registration zones, baggage areas, secured printing, centralised monitoring, and on-site technical support.
To enhance accessibility, over 90% of candidates will be allotted centres from their top three preferences, while others will be accommodated within 200 km of their homes. Standardised stationery will be introduced across centres.
SSC also announced the launch of an official YouTube channel for verified updates and a dedicated grievance hub for timely redressal, operational from the next exam cycle.
“These initiatives reaffirm our commitment to fairness, transparency, and candidate convenience,” Gopalakrishnan said, highlighting the Commission’s push for a tamper-proof, technology-driven examination ecosystem.
