The Bishop’s School, Pune, has become the first school in India to implement the Official F1® Sim Racing India Open Flagship Partner School Programme, an initiative by Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited (MFRL) in association with Formula 1®.
As part of the programme, the school hosted Pune’s first Official F1® Sim Racing India Open School Time Trials from June 26 to 29, introducing students to professional Formula 1 simulators, structured driver education and motorsport talent identification.
The initiative aims to familiarise students with the technical and strategic aspects of motorsport while creating awareness of career opportunities in areas such as race engineering, vehicle dynamics, data analytics and simulation engineering.
A total of 881 students participated in the time trials, including 528 in the junior category and 353 in the senior category. Rayyan Bakshi recorded the fastest lap in the senior category with a time of 1:21.811, while Armaan Khinvasara topped the junior category with a lap time of 1:23.347. The leading participants will progress to the zonal stages of the Official F1 Sim Racing India Open talent pathway.
Mumbai Falcons Racing Limited Managing Director Ameet Gadhoke said the programme is designed to build a grassroots motorsport ecosystem in India by introducing students to opportunities across racing, engineering, technology and analytics.
The Bishop’s School will continue to provide students with access to simulator training, structured competitions and talent identification opportunities under the programme. The next round of the Official F1 Sim Racing India Open School Time Trials will be held at Vishwashanti Gurukul World School (IB), Pune, from July 1 to 5, 2026.
