Wellington College International Pune has appointed Nigel Fossey MBE as its Master for the 2026–27 academic year.
Fossey has more than three decades of experience in international education, having held leadership positions across Europe, the Middle East and Latin America. A graduate of the University of Oxford’s Brasenose College, he most recently served as Principal of The Sultan’s School in Oman.
His previous roles include serving on the Executive Committee of the Council of British International Schools (COBIS), the boards of the Association of British Schools Overseas and The British Chamber of Commerce in Panamá, and as a Trustee of The Global College of Engineering and Technology in Muscat. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
Fossey has led the implementation of the High-Performance Learning framework in schools in Spain and Panama. In January 2024, he was awarded the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for services to British education overseas.
Commenting on his appointment, Fossey said he looked forward to leading the school community and supporting students in developing the skills and qualities needed for future leadership.
Chairman Anuj Aggarwal said Fossey’s appointment marked an important milestone for the school and that his leadership would support its focus on academic excellence, character development and innovation.
Wellington College International Pune said Fossey’s appointment aligns with its commitment to strengthening academic leadership and preparing students for global opportunities.
