Aahwahan Foundation, NTT DATA inaugurate science laboratory at Coimbatore government school

Aahwahan Foundation, in partnership with NTT DATA, has inaugurated its 511th Model Science Laboratory at CCMA Government Higher Secondary School in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

The laboratory has been set up to strengthen practical science education by providing students with modern facilities for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It includes laboratory equipment, dedicated workstations, storage systems and infrastructure designed to support hands-on learning.

The inauguration was led by Braja Kishore Pradhan, CEO and Founder of Aahwahan Foundation, and attended by Gopa K., Vice President, NTT DATA, Chennai, along with school officials, teachers and students.

The project is expected to benefit more than 4,000 girl students by improving access to practical science education and supporting greater participation in STEM learning. As part of the initiative, a model toilet was also inaugurated to improve school infrastructure.

Braja Kishore Pradhan said the laboratory would provide students with opportunities to develop scientific curiosity and practical skills. Headmistress K. Sumathi said the new facility would help teachers explain scientific concepts through demonstrations and experiments while encouraging students to engage in hands-on learning.

Gopa K. said access to better learning infrastructure enables students to build confidence and prepare for future opportunities.

Aahwahan Foundation has implemented education infrastructure projects across government schools in India, including model schools, science and computer laboratories, smart classrooms, libraries, astronomy labs and RO water plants.
