XLRI Delhi-NCR has inducted a new batch of students into its Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Venture Development (PGDM IEV) programme with a three-day orientation focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and venture creation.
The AICTE-approved two-year programme is designed for aspiring entrepreneurs, family business leaders and early-stage professionals. It combines management education with experiential learning, incubation, mentorship, industry engagement and investor interactions.
The orientation was inaugurated by Fr. Antony R. Uvari SJ, Director, XLRI Delhi-NCR, along with Prof. Munish Thakur, Dean (Academics), Fr. Alwyn Rodrigues SJ, Dean (Administration and Finance), and Rachna Tiwary, COO, Entrepreneurship.
Industry leaders Ramkumar Thirumurty, Chief Revenue Officer at Pine Labs (SETU), and Deep Kalra, Founder and Chairman of MakeMyTrip, addressed students on entrepreneurship, digital innovation, artificial intelligence and building technology-led businesses. The programme also included discussions on venture capital, Startup India, NITI Aayog initiatives, Jagriti Yatra and campus support systems.
Students enrolled in the programme gain access to XLRI’s entrepreneurship platform, XCEED, which provides mentorship, incubation support, networking opportunities and access to funding. The programme also includes live projects, internships, startup conclaves, founder interactions and industry visits.
According to XLRI, the programme has supported ventures across sectors including agritech, artificial intelligence, consumer brands, edtech and clean energy through incubation, mentoring and investor engagement.
Welcoming the new cohort, Fr. Antony R. Uvari said entrepreneurship is about creating value for society by identifying opportunities and turning ideas into action. Prof. Munish Thakur said the programme aims to develop entrepreneurial thinking and prepare students to build meaningful ventures.
