Nottingham Trent University (NTU) has celebrated the graduation of 221 Indian students during the 2025/26 academic year, with the cohort comprising 110 undergraduate and 133 postgraduate students across disciplines including business, computing, design, engineering and allied health sciences.
The graduates will join NTU’s global alumni network of more than 250,000 members. Indian alumni include designer Priya Patel and travel blogger Mayur Sharma. UK-based graduates include Gaggan Sabherwal, an MA Television Journalism graduate and India UK Achievers Honours recipient who is now a senior reporter at the BBC, and Aufa Karnalkar, an LLM International Trade and Commercial Law graduate working as an independent legal professional and academic tutor.
Among the undergraduate graduates, Design, Creative and Performing Arts, Business & Management, Computing, and Allied Health Sciences were the leading disciplines. At postgraduate level, Computing, Business & Management, and Engineering & Technology had the highest representation.
Stephen Williams, Director, NTU Global, said the university was proud of its Indian students and their contribution to the university community, adding that graduation marked the beginning of their next chapter as members of the NTU alumni network.
Among the graduates was Ramita Eswarappa, who completed a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons). She said her time at NTU helped her develop academic and soft skills through networking and teamwork, while providing opportunities to explore her interests and identity.
NTU said its focus on career readiness is reflected in its graduate employability rankings. The university is ranked among the top five universities in the UK for employability in the Uni Compare 2027 rankings and among the top 10 in the UK for Career Prospects in the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2026. According to The Guardian University Guide 2026, 76% of NTU students progress to graduate-level employment or further training within 15 months of graduating.
