Securin Labs and IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation have signed a memorandum of understanding to advance cybersecurity research, technology development and talent training for India’s critical infrastructure.
The partnership will focus on AI-driven vulnerability discovery, zero-day research, cyber-physical systems security and supply-chain risk analysis across operational technology and industrial control systems.
The work will cover sectors including power, railways, utilities, healthcare, telecommunications and transportation. The organisations will also explore opportunities with government ministries, Central Public Sector Enterprises, state public sector undertakings and critical infrastructure operators.
Securin will contribute to the research agenda of IITM Pravartak’s Centre for Human-Centric AI. A joint steering committee will identify research, advisory and deployment opportunities and oversee the collaboration.
The partnership will also extend IITM Pravartak’s Cybersecurity + AI certificate programme and introduce sector-specific executive programmes. Internships, fellowships and capstone projects will allow IIT Madras and Pravartak-affiliated students to work on industry cybersecurity challenges.
The organisations plan to publish their first joint paper within six months, followed by research reports, advisories, white papers and threat-intelligence outputs.
Dr Srinivas Mukkamala, CEO of Securin, said the partnership would connect research with industry expertise to address cybersecurity risks across critical infrastructure.
Dr M J Shankar Raman, CEO of IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, said the collaboration would support the development of cyber-physical systems security solutions and cybersecurity talent.
