Anant National University announces fourth cohort of Anant Fellowship for climate action

The Anant Fellowship for Climate Action (AFCA) at the Anant School for Climate Action, part of Anant National University, in partnership with Sustain Labs Paris, has launched its fourth cohort, welcoming 21 Fellows from 7 countries.

Anant National University, India’s first DesignX University and the pioneer in offering a climate action program, aims to equip designers with modern digital tools and a multidisciplinary approach to address contemporary global challenges sustainably.

AFCA is an exclusive eight-month program based on a mentor-mentee framework, designed to create a network of climate change ‘solutionaries’ collaborating across sectors, regions, and generations to drive impactful solutions. Graduates of the Fellowship are expected to assume leadership roles in the USD 3 trillion climate change industry.

AFCA attracts applicants from diverse backgrounds and disciplines each year. The inaugural cohort included Fellows ranging from a 16-year-old to a 63-year-old retired professional.

This year’s cohort features notable members such as Anand Raj, Former Head of India Programme at International Innovation Corps; Giriprashad K, Lead Engineer at CyanoCapture; Kenneth Aidam, ESG Officer at United Bank of Africa; Natalia Mykhaylova, Founder and CEO of WeavAir; Narasimha Prasad, Founder and Innovation Head at Ruuris Innovations; Ravi Gopalan, VP of Data at abillion; Siddharth Chakravarthy, Director of Sustainability at Six Senses Hotel & Resort, Fort Barwara; Vasudha Saraogi, Founder and CEO of NorthStar Impact Solutions; and Tina Garg, a BTech student in Engineering Physics at IIT Bombay.

Fellow Sameera Fernandes, Chief Sustainability Officer and Board Member at Century Financial, stated, “The Anant Fellowship for Climate Action nurtures passionate change makers for positive impacts on future generations.” Fellow Lia Knuden, Head of ESG at RAKBANK, added, “I look forward to engaging in meaningful conversations with the other Fellows to make better-informed decisions that can lower my carbon footprint.”

The Fellows will be mentored by esteemed professionals including Roberta Boscolo, Climate and Energy Lead at the World Meteorological Organization (Switzerland); Ram Vaidyanathan, Head of Environmental Sustainability at Godrej Industries (India); Amer Vohora, Chief Client Officer at VALUEworks (Switzerland); Chetan Maini, Co-founder and Chairman of SUN Mobility (India); Diane Binder, Founding Partner and CEO of Regenopolis (France); Dhaval Monani, Founder of First Home Realty Solutions and President of Ashray Impact; Sean Hurley, Co-founder of Vissibl (UAE); Indra Guha, Partner at BDO (India); Lise Anna Bruynooghe, Executive Coach at ProFound Consulting (Switzerland); Anoop Ratnaker Rao, Founder of ReLife (India); Varad Pande, Partner and Director at Boston Consulting Group (Singapore); Vikram Chatterji, Co-founder and CEO of Galileo (USA); and Lee Howell, Founding Executive Director of the Villars Institute and former Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (Switzerland).
