Ashish Mittal is the Noida-based Founder-Director of Innovatiview India Ltd (IIL, estb. 2017), a pan-India integrated security and surveillance partner for examinations, elections, and large events, with the core purpose of protecting the integrity of critical public processes.
With six offices across the country and a vendor network of over 5,100 firms across 28 states and eight Union Territories, Innovatiview’s services include AI-driven CCTV surveillance, touchless biometric verification, GPS-based secure logistics, and on-site OMR scanning to curb exam malpractices.
Over the past nine years, IIL has developed a profitable and scalable pay-per-use model that enables examination boards and public authorities to access advanced security infrastructure without significant capital investment. This approach has driven widespread adoption, with the company now serving 234 clients, including 32 Central government organisations, 126 state government organisations, five public sector undertakings, and 71 private institutions. IIL’s client portfolio includes NTA, UPSSSC, CBSE, AIIMS, HPSC, MPSC, and BPSC.
Newspeg. Late last year, Mittal filed a Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India, a statutory requirement for companies aspiring to launch an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
History. An engineering alumnus of Delhi University, Mittal is a first-generation entrepreneur who “started nation building” long before he left campus. Mittal and his batchmate Ankit co-led the development of an animatronic installation that drew the attention of Delhi government officials. The project received state funding and ultimately evolved into “Shera,” the official mascot of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
Following graduation in 2012, Mittal completed the six-month Startup Leadership Program — a world-class training programme for motivated founders and ideators who aspire to become outstanding startup CEOs. It was during this period that he turned his attention to a systemic issue that few were addressing with urgency: India’s examination landscape.
His journey began in 2012 with a mandate to provide a surveillance solution for one of India’s leading examinations. That assignment laid the foundation for a larger mission: strengthening the integrity of India’s most critical high-stakes examinations. With Ankit’s support, Innovatiview was founded in 2017. Since then, Mittal has played a significant role in developing the company’s solutions and executing its growth strategies. His industry expertise has enabled the company to navigate market trends, expand operations, and build strong client relationships.
Direct talk. “Nine years ago, I discerned the scale of malpractices in examinations — impersonation, copying, tampering of OMR sheets, and misuse of electronic devices — and the huge financial and emotional cost of re-examinations. There was also a clear gap: examinations, elections, and large events were being managed at massive scale, but the security and surveillance layer was fragmented, manually driven, and often reactive.
“Innovatiview was established to bridge that gap using technology, process discipline, and a service mindset. Our promoters come from engineering, technology, banking, and networking backgrounds, and brought that experience with them to build a specialised, tech-led security company. Innovatiview was born with a simple conceptual idea: that every candidate, voter, and citizen deserves a fair, transparent, and well-governed process,” says Mittal.
“Currently, we hold a leading market share in examination integrated security solutions. We are among the first in India to introduce AI-based CCTV surveillance and high-speed, touchless biometric verification for impersonation control in exams. Moreover, we lay strong emphasis on building a culture of care, accountability, and continuous learning, which directly shapes how we serve candidates, invigilators, and government stakeholders,” he adds.
Future plans. Mittal has ambitious plans for the future. “Looking ahead, we plan to establish long-term, technology-enabled test centres across India, designed to conduct examinations within controlled and standardised environments. In parallel, we will continue to strengthen our integrated security solutions for elections and large-scale public events, building on our experience in surveillance and monitoring.
“With an established presence across several regions, we are now focused on expanding our pan-India client base and deepening partnerships with examination and event authorities nationwide,” says Mittal.
