The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) has announced the results of the ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII) examinations for 2026, with more than 3.6 lakh candidates assessed across India and overseas.
Results are available on the official CISCE websites and via DigiLocker, while schools can access detailed records through the CISCE CAREERS portal.
According to CISCE Chief Executive and Secretary Joseph Emmanuel, the results reflect students’ academic progress and mark a stage in their continued education.
The ISC examinations were conducted across 1,553 schools, with 103,316 candidates, including 54,118 boys and 49,198 girls. The ICSE examinations covered 2,957 schools, with 258,721 candidates, including 137,503 boys and 121,218 girls.
The overall pass percentage stood at 99.13% for ISC and 99.18% for ICSE. Girls recorded higher pass rates in both examinations, with 99.48% in ISC and 99.46% in ICSE, compared to 98.81% and 98.93% for boys respectively.
Regionally, the Southern region recorded the highest ISC pass percentage at 99.87%, followed by the Western region at 99.55%. In ICSE, the Western region led with 99.85%, followed by the Southern region at 99.81%. The Northern region reported the highest participation.
Across categories, performance remained consistent. In ISC, Scheduled Caste candidates recorded a pass percentage of 98.77%, Scheduled Tribe candidates 98.84%, Other Backward Classes 99.12%, and General category 99.17%. In ICSE, the respective pass percentages were 98.76% (Scheduled Caste), 98.07% (Scheduled Tribe), 99.24% (Other Backward Classes), and 99.26% (General).
Candidates with special needs also recorded outcomes across both examinations. In ISC, 305 candidates with learning difficulties appeared, with 36 scoring above 90%, while 9 out of 22 visually challenged candidates crossed the same threshold. In ICSE, 1,313 candidates with learning difficulties appeared, including 132 scoring above 90%, and 17 out of 54 visually challenged candidates achieved above 90%.

The council has opened the recheck window from 1 May to 4 May 2026. Re-evaluation and improvement examinations are scheduled for June and July.
CISCE also operated a 24-hour helpline, #iGotHelp, during the examination period to provide student support.
The council acknowledged the role of schools, teachers, parents and other stakeholders in conducting the examinations.
