Delhi Public School Sector 45 hosted ‘Namaste Deutschland 2026’, an annual event conceptualised by the Goethe-Institut to promote German language and culture, under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society. The programme brought together students from multiple institutions and marked 75 years of diplomatic relations between India and Germany.
The event was inaugurated by Philipp Ackermann, alongside representatives from the German Embassy, DPS leadership and the Goethe-Institut. In his address, the ambassador highlighted the role of education and youth participation in strengthening bilateral ties.
The festival featured exhibitions, workshops, competitions and cultural presentations centred on the theme “Reise Durch DACH” (Journey through the DACH region). The initiative aimed to support language learning, intercultural awareness and academic exchange among students.
Organisers said the programme included participation from 86 schools and more than 1,500 students across Delhi NCR. The event concluded with a valedictory ceremony and prize distribution.
