Footprints Childcare has introduced AI-powered CCTV systems across its preschool and daycare centres, aiming to strengthen safety monitoring and operational oversight.
The system operates in real time to monitor supervision levels, detecting any absence of adult presence and triggering immediate alerts to centre management. The company said the technology is designed to enable preventive action rather than respond after incidents occur.
The AI-enabled infrastructure complements existing safety measures, including live CCTV access for parents, OTP-validated and biometric entry systems, structured audits, and standardised staff training protocols.
Footprints currently operates more than 220 centres across 30 cities, serving over 60,000 parents, with more than 12,000 children enrolled. The company reported ₹58 crore in revenue in the last financial year and has raised $7.5 million in Series A funding to expand its technology infrastructure and national footprint.
Raj Singhal, Founder and CEO, said the integration of AI strengthens existing safety processes and supports greater accountability across centres.
