Academic excellence once again took centre stage at Greenwood High, Sarjapur (International Campus), as students delivered an exceptional performance in the Cambridge IGCSE June 2026 Series Examinations.

The results reflect not only outstanding academic achievement but also the students’ perseverance, consistency and commitment to learning. Thirteen students secured A* grades in all nine subjects they registered for, while eight students achieved eight A*s, marking another remarkable milestone in Greenwood High’s journey of academic excellence.

Among the 1,122 subjects registered this year, more than 38% of grades were A*, while 70% of all grades were A and above. A strong 89% of grades were B and above, and an impressive 98% were C and above, demonstrating the consistently high academic performance across the cohort.

The 13 students who achieved the remarkable distinction of securing A*s in all nine subjects are Abhinav S Kulkarni, Anoushka Jain, Arav Mathur, Arnika Ezhilan, Arushi Chandra, Avani Bansal, Eric Leene, Maya R Kikkeri, Riddhi Kamani, Sushanth S Gummadi, Vian Singh, Vihaan Bhatt and Vihaan Gupta.

Adding another dimension to this achievement, 100% of the 128 students who appeared for the examination secured the prestigious Cambridge ICE Certification. Of these, 70% earned the coveted Distinction, while the remaining 30% achieved Merit. Notably, none of the students fell under the Pass or ICE Not Awarded categories.

Eight students—Adhya S Thomas, Akshita Rai, Shivansi S Gudla, Maheeth Kanuri, Muskaan Malik, Rumi Iyengar, Sasha Roshan and Shaon Chatterjee—secured an impressive eight A*s.

The cohort also recorded exceptional individual performances, with Arav Mathur and Mihir Kulkarni scoring 99% in Additional Mathematics, Eric Leene achieving 99% in Economics, and Avani Bansal securing 99% in Literature in English.

Beyond the Grades: The Stories Behind the Success

For the students, the results represent much more than numbers. They reflect months of disciplined preparation, support from teachers and families, and a willingness to learn from challenges.

Anoushka Jain, one of the nine-A* achievers, shared that consistent note-taking, extensive past-paper practice and spaced revision were central to her preparation. “I capitalised on my strengths and worked extremely hard on all my weaker subjects,” she said, while expressing gratitude to her teachers, parents, sister and friends for their constant encouragement.

For Avani Bansal, structured preparation and collaborative learning made a significant difference. “I made online notes for every single one of my subjects and practised consistently,” she shared, highlighting daily Mathematics practice, Literature answer-writing and discussions with friends as key parts of her preparation.

Riddhi Kamani, who was pleasantly surprised by her results, credited her success to teacher feedback, past papers and a focused study schedule. “My teachers gave me specific feedback and support to help me do better in boards,” she said, emphasising the role of targeted guidance in turning challenges into progress.

For Arnika Ezhilan, understanding concepts rather than relying solely on memorisation was an important part of her journey. “I always tried to stay proactive and pay attention in class, which helped me reduce the time I spent studying at home,” she shared, while acknowledging the unwavering support of her teachers, friends and family.

Eric Leene, who also secured nine A*s, summed up the journey with a reflection on consistency and support: “Consistent effort and time put in each day helped bridge the gap.” He also credited his teachers, school leadership, family, friends and support staff for helping him stay focused while maintaining a healthy balance throughout his IGCSE journey.

The achievements of the Cambridge IGCSE 2026 cohort stand as a testament to Greenwood High’s commitment to nurturing learners who strive for excellence while developing independence, resilience and a genuine understanding of their subjects.
