The Global Young Scholar (GYS), an AI-driven student assessment and benchmarking platform, has been launched in India for the 2026 academic year. The platform is designed to help schools identify and track student potential beyond conventional examinations.
GYS has been developed by Raymond Ravaglia, former Dean and Director of Stanford University Pre-Collegiate Studies and creator of the Stanford Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY). The initiative is jointly led by AccessUSA, Argus, and EducationWorld India.
The platform assesses students across three tracks — reasoning, skills, and insights — covering symbolic, verbal and mathematical reasoning, English and AI proficiency, as well as personality, interests and career pathways. It places students on a nationally normed scale and assigns performance tiers including Diamond, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Explorer.
Participating schools receive grade-level leaderboards, cohort analytics and longitudinal student profiles. The platform also provides guidance on academic pathways, including advanced coursework, scholarships and university admissions.
GYS is inviting the first 100 K–12 institutions in India to adopt the platform as part of its initial rollout.
