Heritage Institute of Technology holds 7th graduation ceremony

Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK) held its seventh graduation ceremony at The Heritage Campus in Kolkata, where students received degrees and medals.

Padma Shri Dr B. V. R. Mohan Reddy, Founder Chairman of Cyient Group and Chairman of the Boards of Governors of IIT Hyderabad and NIT Warangal, attended as the chief guest.

Addressing the graduates, Reddy spoke about the expanding role of artificial intelligence across education and professional sectors. He urged engineers to understand emerging technologies and continually update their skills, noting that graduation marks the beginning of lifelong learning.

Prof Tapas Chakraborty, Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT), discussed the responsible and ethical use of AI. He also recognised HITK’s efforts to prepare students for changes in the technology sector.

Prof (Dr) Basab Chaudhuri, Principal of HITK, presented the institute’s academic report, while Padma Shri P. R. Agarwala, Chairman of HITK and Rupa & Co. Ltd, advised graduates to carry the institution’s values into their professional lives.

The ceremony was also attended by Padma Shri Sajjan Bhajanka, Founder Trustee and Secretary of Heritage; Vikram Swarup, Vice-Chairman of Heritage Group of Institutions; Pradip Agarwal, CEO of Heritage; Prof Souvik Bhattacharyya, Principal Advisor at Heritage; and Prof Pradipta Banerji, Dean of Research and Development at Heritage.

The event concluded with the conferment of degrees and presentation of medals to graduating students.
