The Indian School of Business (ISB), through its Centre for Business Innovation, has partnered with ANSR Foundation and SAFA Society to launch EmpowHer, a capacity-building programme for women-led micro-enterprises in Hyderabad.
The initiative aims to address barriers faced by women entrepreneurs, including limited access to formal finance, credit, digital tools and business development support. The programme will provide mentorship, financial literacy, business growth guidance and digital enablement to help participants strengthen and expand their enterprises.
EmpowHer will begin with a diagnostic assessment of each business to identify operational, financial and market-related needs. Participants will then receive training in cash flow management, profit calculation, credit readiness, branding, pricing, packaging and the use of digital tools for payments and customer outreach.
SAFA Society, which has worked with women’s self-help groups and micro-entrepreneurs in Hyderabad for nearly two decades, will lead programme implementation.
The initiative will also include an impact measurement framework to track changes in participating enterprises. ISB said the findings will be documented through case studies, policy briefs and knowledge platforms to support research on women’s economic participation and enterprise development.
The three organisations said the partnership aims to strengthen women-led micro-enterprises through practical business support, improved financial access and long-term capacity building.
