Insightful cover story
My heartfelt compliments on your articulate story on the EW India School Rankings Part-I (September).
I particularly appreciate how you looked beyond rankings and accolades to highlight the broader role of education institutions in shaping young minds and contributing meaningfully to society. It is refreshing to see the true essence of education captured so eloquently, reminding us that a school’s success lies in the lives it touches and the values it nurtures.
I was especially moved by your point that dividing and categorising institutions helps avoid “apples to oranges” comparisons and ensures a level playing field for all. Congratulations again to you and your team on a wonderful, insightful cover story!

Singular milestone
Our gratitude and admiration to EducationWorld for pioneering the EW India School Rankings (EWISR). Over the past two decades, EWISR has become the definitive gold standard for K-12 education in India, fostering healthy institutional competition and driving continuous improvement across schools nationwide.
It is with humility and institutional pride that we share a unique milestone in our educational journey. In the latest EWISR, The Shishukunj International School, Indore, has been adjudged the #1 co-ed day school in Madhya Pradesh for the 15th consecutive year. To the best of our knowledge, sustaining #1 rank at the state level uninterruptedly for 15 straight years is a singular achievement countrywide. We view this not merely as an accolade, but as a reflection of our commitment to holistic student growth, faculty development, and pedagogical excellence across the 14 parameters evaluated by your sample respondents.
With EducationWorld having recently introduced the Ivy League Schools category to acknowledge institutions that consistently top league tables year after year, we humbly request your editorial team to consider our school’s inclusion in the Ivy League category and special institutional recognition.
Regardless of the outcome, we remain profoundly grateful to EW for continually raising the bar for Indian schooling. Thank you for your continued service to Indian education.

Parameter scores request
We are honoured and proud to be ranked India #41, Tamil Nadu #3 and Vaniyambadi #1 in the Budget Private School (BPS) category. We deeply appreciate the rigorous and transparent evaluation process that EW conducts every year.
However, as an institution committed to continuous improvement, we are keen to understand our performance in greater detail. We would be grateful if you could share the following information to help us analyse our standing and plan our future strategies effectively: detailed scores on the 14 evaluation parameters and the total number of schools participating in the BPS category. This will help us identify our strengths and areas requiring focused attention.
Thank you for your continued support in recognising and elevating school education in India.

CJP’s real test
Your interview with Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke (EW September) made absorbing reading. In my view, CJP’s major challenge is in converting activism into sustained and measurable change.
A movement seeking to reform public institutions must eventually move beyond highlighting failures to developing credible, constructive solutions that can withstand political and administrative scrutiny. CJP’s recent focus on auditing government schools and documenting basic infrastructure gaps is an important step in that direction. The real test, however, will be whether such activism translates into improvements on the ground. Without demonstrable long-term impact, CJP risks being viewed primarily as a protest platform rather than a catalyst for meaningful educational reform.

Corrigendum
The Scindia School, Gwalior was inadvertently referred to as The Scindia Boys School in the EW September issue. We regret the error — Editor
