Navrachana Education Society: Six decades of shaping future-ready, values-driven minds
Founded by visionary educationist Savitaben Amin, the Navrachana Education Society (NES, estb.1965) boasts a six-decade legacy of delivering high-quality K-12 education to generations of students from Vadodara’s burgeoning middle class.
Helmed by its executive chairperson Tejal Amin, NES presently boasts four primary-secondaries affiliated with state, national and international school-leaving examination boards in the ‘cultural capital’ of the western seaboard state of Gujarat — Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama; Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya; Navrachana International School (CBSE, IB & Cambridge International); and the Gujarat state-board affiliated Eklavya Model Residential School, Vejalpur — a school for tribal children. In addition, NES has also promoted the premier multidisciplinary Navrachana University, Vadodara and the Navrachana Sports Academy and Nav Kaushalya, a skilling initiative for girls and women. Together, the four K-12 institutions presently boast an enrollment of 6,159 students mentored by 510 teachers.

An alumnus of The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara (Gujarat), Tejal Amin has been the driving force behind NES’ growth and expansion over the past six decades. A director at Jyoti Ltd. and a full-time director at the Mogar (Gujarat)-based JSL Industries, she is closely associated with Vadodara’s industry and educational ecosystem over the last three and a half decades. Besides providing strategic oversight to NES’ constituent institutions, she also serves as a government nominated member of the senate and syndicate of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She is a recipient of the Glory of Gujarat Award 2016 of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, Gujarat.

– NISV students were invited to showcase their Green School Efforts at New York, USA for the 9th NYC Green Mentors Conference after they ranked 2nd countrywide in the National Green School Ranking 2025, Gujarat’s only school at this spot.
– NISV shone at the Ed Tech X Trail Blazer Awards 2024, Hyderabad, with both IB and CBSE campuses winning top honours. From co-curricular excellence, Life Skills and Happiness Quotient to Sports and Boarding Education, NISV swept the awards.
– In the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2025-26, NISV ranked #1+ in Gujarat and #1 in Vadodara in the International Day-cum-Boarding category.
– NISV made history by launching the IB Career-related Programme with its first cohort, Class of 2027, becoming Gujarat’s only school with the full IB continuum—PYP, MYP, DP, and IBCP—and among the few in India to offer all four.
– Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya’s (NVV) STEM Team represented Vadodara and Gujarat at the 77th Republic Day Celebrations, New Delhi (2026). – At the 13th edition of the Vadodara Marathon — India’s largest marathon — on February 1, 2026, NVV’s teachers participated in the 10 and 21 km run while the students ran for 5.65 km demonstrating their dedication to healthy life and sustainable practices. Moreover, this year, the school also got the opportunity to create the Marathon Anthem which was sung by its class 6 students.
