Founded by visionary educationist Savitaben Amin, the Navrachana Education Society (NES, estb.1965) boasts a six-decade legacy of delivering high-quality K-12 education to generations of students from Vadodara’s burgeoning middle class.
Helmed by its executive chairperson Tejal Amin, NES presently boasts four primary-secondaries affiliated with state, national and international school-leaving examination boards in the ‘cultural capital’ of the western seaboard state of Gujarat — Navrachana Higher Secondary School, Sama; Navrachana Vidyani Vidyalaya; Navrachana International School (CBSE, IB & Cambridge International); and the Gujarat state-board affiliated Eklavya Model Residential School, Vejalpur — a school for tribal children. In addition, NES has also promoted the premier multidisciplinary Navrachana University, Vadodara and the Navrachana Sports Academy and Nav Kaushalya, a skilling initiative for girls and women. Together, the four K-12 institutions presently boast an enrollment of 6,159 students mentored by 510 teachers.

“All our NES schools impart holistic education to nurture each child into responsible and caring individuals. Our students are empowered through a positive rigour of discipline related to academics, behavior, humane values and social skills to ensure that true potential is transformed smoothly into reality,” says Tejal Amin, chairperson, Navrachana Education Society.
An alumnus of The Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara (Gujarat), Tejal Amin has been the driving force behind NES’ growth and expansion over the past six decades. A director at Jyoti Ltd. and a full-time director at the Mogar (Gujarat)-based JSL Industries, she is closely associated with Vadodara’s industry and educational ecosystem over the last three and a half decades. Besides providing strategic oversight to NES’ constituent institutions, she also serves as a government nominated member of the senate and syndicate of Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. She is a recipient of the Glory of Gujarat Award 2016 of the Indian Council of Social Welfare, Gujarat.
NISV: Nurturing competent learners rooted in ethical values
Over the past two decades, NES’ flagship Navrachana International School, Vadodara (NISV, estb.2003) has steadily risen in public esteem for its holistic, future-focused, and values-driven approach to education. Unsurprisingly, NISV has been ranked #1+ international day-cum-boarding school in Gujarat and #1 in Vadodara in the EducationWorld India School Rankings 2025-26. Offering students a choice of national (Central Board of Secondary Education) and international (International Baccalaureate & Cambridge International) curricula, NISV nurtures learners who are confident, competent, ethical, and deeply humane—equipped not just for successful careers, but for meaningful lives and responsible leadership. The school presently has 1,722 students and 90 teachers on its muster rolls.
The hallmark of NISV’s education philosophy is to “build a strong foundation for life for all its students.” NISV’s well-balanced curriculum is complemented by its state-of-the-art infrastructure that enables an environment of inquiry and learning. Surrounded by well-manicured lawns and expansive sports fields, the low-rise school building boasts ample natural light and excellent ventilation.
The large open-to-air central quadrangle and wide corridors flanking the classrooms use these elements to advantage.

Air-conditioned classrooms, Olympic-sized swimming pool, Science laboratories, IT enabled Resource Centers, Art and Craft rooms, libraries and technology-aided classrooms enable NISV’s team of 90 highly qualified and experienced teaching professionals to deliver its curricula effectively.

NISV’s well-appointed residential suites ensure comfortable living. Blending aesthetics and practicality, each room accommodates three children. While the recreation lounges allow for relaxation, the ICT node in the study lounges makes for pleasurable learning.
“As the flagship NES institution, Navrachana International School, Vadodara stands distinguished for its holistic, future-focused, and values-driven approach to education. NISV nurtures learners who are confident, competent, ethical, and deeply humane—prepared not just for careers, but for meaningful lives and responsible leadership,” says Kashmira Jaiswal, principal of Navrachana International School, Vadodara.

Kashmira Jaiswal is a well-respected educational leader with over two decades of committed service to the Navrachana Education Society. With an academic background spanning science, linguistics, education, management, and mass communication, she is a strong advocate of inquiry-based and experiential learning, skill development, and values education. Under her leadership, NISV has achieved excellence in holistic education, global citizenship initiatives, and university placements, while nurturing ethical, compassionate, and future-ready learners prepared to thrive in a rapidly changing world. A Fulbright Scholar, CBSE National Award winner, and Pearson Award recipient, she has won national and international acclaim for her contributions to school leadership, pedagogy, and innovation.
Rooted in the belief that the knowledge and skills of teachers directly impacts the quality of education, the NISV management invests generously in continuously learning and professional growth of its teaching faculty. The professional development programme at NISV reflects a sustained commitment to instructional excellence, leadership growth, and educator wellbeing. Under the progressive leadership of principal Kashmira Jaiswal, NISV CBSE hosted The Dynamic Teacher Award – Season 1, celebrating impactful teaching while fostering a culture of continuous learning. Jaiswal has also led multiple capacity-building workshops on learning outcomes, active learning strategies, lesson planning using the 7E model, curriculum continuum design, project-based learning, and innovative approaches to English pedagogy.
Moreover, the school leadership actively engages in global and national forums, including international CBSE Sahodaya conferences, IC3, QS I-Gauge, and IB leadership programmes. Teachers have participated in prestigious training programmes such as Creya’s Maker-in-Teacher, CBSE–ISTM Training of Trainers aligned with NEP 2020, subject-specific CBSE workshops, and SAIBSA meets. Complementing academic growth, NISV prioritised well-being through counselling-led wellness programmes, resilience initiatives, and career guidance forums, ensuring holistic professional enrichment.
“A school’s true success lies in designing pathways where every child discovers purpose, develops competence, and learns to contribute meaningfully to the world. Our responsibility as educators is to nurture globally aware, ethically grounded, and emotionally resilient learners who have the courage to think, the wisdom to care, and the integrity to act. Our future goals for NISV are two – pronged. We are already hovering around a challenging threshold – the futuristic subjects of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence, are not just knocking on the school gates, they’ve pushed their way in. Our pedagogy has to gear up to accept and turn these challenges to the benefit of our students. The second prong is strengthening our infrastructure.” says Tejal Amin.
