Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) has partnered with OpenAI to integrate artificial intelligence tools across teaching, research and academic administration.
The collaboration aims to enhance learning outcomes, support research productivity and equip students and faculty with AI skills. MAHE will implement AI-powered tools across its academic programmes to support personalised learning, promote critical thinking and encourage ethical use of artificial intelligence. Faculty will also use AI tools for curriculum planning, research and innovation.
D. Venkatesh, Vice Chancellor of MAHE, said the partnership represents a step towards embedding AI across academic and administrative functions to improve learning outcomes, strengthen research and prepare students for an AI-driven workforce.
The initiative will focus on building AI literacy across disciplines, including health sciences, technology and science, management, law, humanities and social sciences. The university will promote interdisciplinary research and establish governance guidelines to ensure responsible and transparent use of artificial intelligence.
The partnership forms part of MAHE’s digital transformation roadmap and its efforts to advance innovation and industry engagement through AI-enabled education and research.
