"Whether you are ready or not, we are in the midst of a civilisational transition. The last of this magnitude was the Industrial Revolution. This one will take two decades. Intelligence is becoming cheaper, more abundant and more widely deployable at an unprecedented pace. For India, the question is not whether AI will reshape the global economy—it already is. The question is whether we can capture value from this transformation or merely supply inputs into someone else's success. India possesses four advantages few countries can match: talent, regulatory openness, scale and renewable energy. Winners are those who build durable ecosystems as technology becomes broadly usable. India still has that window, but it will not stay open forever."

"Seriousness should not be confused with panic. The examination system must be protected wherever trust can be breached, and any immediate action should be judged by its proportionality and purpose. The NTA has recognised the issue as a systemic challenge requiring institutional reform, stronger accountability, and technology-backed safeguards. Public confidence is rebuilt not by declaring institutions irreparable, but by identifying breaches, prosecuting wrongdoers, and strengthening systems. Given the scale of India’s examinations, no single safeguard is enough—the defence must be layered. Students need reliable information because rumours create anxiety, and criticism must distinguish between failure and response. Strengthening leadership, cybersecurity, operational procedures, and accountability is how a mature system responds to a crisis. India’s examination system does not need fatalism; it needs layered protection, accountable institutions, and transparent communication."
