Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has begun an executive education programme at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government.
Reddy enrolled in the programme titled Leadership for the 21st Century (Chaos, Conflict, and Courage), which runs from January 25 to 30. The course commenced on Sunday afternoon local time with a session on Analysing Authority and Leadership.
Classes began on Monday at 7 am, with participants attending case analysis sessions, consultative group work and other classes, according to government sources.
The programme is being held at the Kennedy School campus in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and includes participants from more than 20 countries. Reddy is expected to attend classes, complete assignments, submit coursework and undertake group projects with fellow participants.
The programme is taking place amid a winter emergency in the Boston area due to a snowstorm, with snowfall exceeding two feet and temperatures dropping below minus 20 degrees Celsius.
On completion, Reddy will receive a course certification from Harvard University, becoming the first serving chief minister from India to do so, an official release said.
