Shri Nara Lokesh addressed students of the IB Diploma Class of 2026 at Greenwood High International School during their Graduation Day ceremony held at the Sarjapur campus.
In his address, the Andhra Pradesh Minister for Human Resource Development, IT, RTG, Electronics and Communications urged students to prioritise purpose over trends and uphold integrity in their decisions. He emphasised that education extends beyond academic learning and includes developing the ability to think critically. He encouraged students to remain adaptable, responsible and committed to ethical values.
The ceremony, themed “Pioneering Possibilities,” brought together students, parents and faculty to mark the completion of the IB Diploma programme. The graduating cohort secured admissions to institutions including Brown University, Dartmouth College, University of California, Berkeley, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Michigan and Johns Hopkins University. Offers were also received from universities in the United Kingdom, Europe, Canada and Asia.
Students were awarded scholarships from several institutions. Deepti Prabhakar received a Presidential Scholarship exceeding $262,000 from The College of Wooster, while Aanya Shrivastava secured a $100,000 scholarship from American University. Aneesh R. Krishnan received scholarships from Case Western Reserve University and Denison University. Additional scholarships were awarded by institutions including Rochester Institute of Technology, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and Boston University.
Mrs Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee of Greenwood High International School, said the graduating class reflected academic achievement and strong values, and expressed confidence in their future endeavours.
The ceremony included formal recognitions and concluded with the traditional cap toss.
