Dharav High School marked World Earth Day on 22 April 2026 with an Earth Week programme centred on student-led sustainability activities.
Held under the theme “Nurture Nature”, the initiative included a special assembly titled “Plant it for the Planet”, where students spoke about conserving natural resources and adopting everyday practices to protect the environment. Parents were also invited to participate.
Students took part in an “Earthenware and Wear” activity focused on eco-friendly choices and the reuse of materials. Class-wise activities included paper grocery bag decoration by Class 1, cardboard printing and recycled paper mâché creations by Classes 2 and 3, and birdhouse design using reusable materials by Class 4.
Aditi Misra said the programme aimed to move beyond awareness and encourage consistent sustainable practices through hands-on learning.
Ritu Jawa said the activities helped students connect values with action and understand the role of daily choices in protecting the environment.
The school said the initiative was designed to build environmental responsibility and promote practical habits among students as part of its broader approach to learning and sustainability.
