Excelsoft Technologies has launched Saras Assessments in a Box, a compact appliance designed to enable secure digital examinations without the need for extensive IT infrastructure or continuous internet connectivity.
Built on the company’s Saras Assessment platform, the device allows institutions to establish a functional test centre within minutes. Users can power it on, connect via Wi-Fi or LAN, and begin delivering exams. The appliance supports more than 100 concurrent candidates and operates with or without internet access, removing the requirement for dedicated servers.
Dhananjay Sudhanva, Chairman and Managing Director of Excelsoft Technologies, said the product addresses the limitations of infrastructure-heavy assessment models as examination volumes increase. He stated that the solution reduces the time and cost involved in setting up secure test centres while enabling consistent delivery across varied environments, including national and state-level entrance examinations, university assessments, recruitment and certification programmes, and remote or emergency testing centres.
Adarsh Sudhindra, Chief Innovation Officer at Excelsoft Technologies, said the appliance introduces a distributed architecture that enables exams to run locally while remaining centrally governed. He said the approach supports reliable assessment delivery at scale, particularly in infrastructure-constrained settings.
With the launch, Excelsoft Technologies aims to expand access to secure digital examinations across diverse geographies and testing conditions.
