The recent months at Greenwood High School have been a vibrant reflection of the institution’s commitment to holistic education—where culture, leadership, sports, academics, and community spirit thrive together.
A rich blend of celebrations and achievements across campuses showcased the energy, talent, and values that define the Greenwood ethos. The journey began with the spirited celebration of Kannada Rajyotsava on 1st November 2025, organised by the Admin Team with great pride. Traditional elements such as Mysore Nagari, flag hoisting, and the lighting of the lamp set a dignified tone, while an inspiring message from the Trustees emphasised the significance of Karnataka’s language, heritage, and unity.
Cultural performances by staff from across departments—including administration, support services, security, transport, cafeteria, PSAC Koramangala, and PSAC Whitefield—created a colourful and inclusive celebration that beautifully captured the spirit of Karnataka. The campus soon transformed into a world of colour and laughter during Children’s Day on 14th November, 2025.
Students arrived in cheerful attire to enjoy a thoughtfully curated mini carnival organised by teachers, featuring games, food stalls, Tambola, movies, and engaging classroom activities. Celebrated batch-wise for comfort and safety, and complemented by a special Children’s Day meal, the event became a heart-warming tribute to childhood joy and creativity. Leadership and democratic values took centre stage during the School Election and Investiture Ceremony. Following enthusiastic campaign speeches, elections were conducted smoothly, encouraging student voice and responsibility.
The Investiture Ceremony, attended by proud parents, formally inducted the newly elected council through the conferring of badges and pledges—symbolising integrity, continuity, and service. Greenwood High also placed strong emphasis on staff well-being. The Staff Picnic at Club Cabana brought together colleagues from the Sarjapur and Bannerghatta campuses for a day of recreation, camaraderie, and shared laughter, strengthening bonds and reinforcing a positive work culture.
A defining milestone was Greenwood High International School hosting the 69th National School Games (SGFI) Chess Championship 2025–26 at its Sarjapur campus. Organised by CISCE under the aegis of SGFI, the championship welcomed 32 teams and over 300+ Under-19 players from across India. The event featured a grand inauguration with cultural performances and inspiring address by Chief Guest Mr. D. P. Anantha, Vice President- All India Chess Federation.
The closing ceremony, highlighted by the powerful beats of Dollu Kunitha, was graced by Grandmaster Mr. Tej Kumar and Ms. Niru Agarwal, Managing Trustee, Greenwood High. The successful hosting of this national event reaffirmed the school’s excellence in sports leadership and organisation. The term concluded on an emotional and inspiring note with the ISC Valedictory Ceremony for the Batch of 2025–26. Graced by Chief Guest Capt. Yashika Tyagi, whose powerful address urged students to value mindset, courage, and character, the ceremony blended dignity, cultural performances, and heartfelt pride. Surrounded by management, teachers, and parents, the graduating students marked the beginning of a new chapter with confidence and purpose.
The spirit of inclusivity was further reflected during the Support Staff Sports Day, which featured a vibrant march past, a proud parade by the security team, torch lighting by school leaders, and a friendly cricket match—celebrating teamwork, dedication, and unity. Sporting achievements continued across disciplines. Greenwood High swimmers delivered exceptional performances at the VIVA–VIBGYOR Interschool Swimming Competition, emerging as Overall Champions in the Girls’ Category, and went on to shine at the Goldenbee Global Swim Meet, Euro School Swimming Competition, and KSVK School Meet.
The school’s football, basketball, and martial arts teams also made their mark at prestigious tournaments, while the campus proudly hosted the Wushu Belt Grading Test in association with the Bangalore East Zone Wushu Association. Academic and co-curricular excellence matched sporting success. Anheli Chatterjee (Grade 8) earned international recognition with a Gold Award at the Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition 2025 and a shortlist honour at the John Locke Global Essay Competition, including an invitation to London and a scholarship to the John Locke Summer School. In science, Adhira Singh and Sanjay Prakash (Grade 8) secured First Runners-Up at the Indian Oil Science Quiz 3.0, competing against students from 142 schools nationwide.
