In the latest EW India School Rankings 2025-26, this CBSE-affiliated co-ed school is ranked among the Top 3 in Gujarat and the #1 day-cum-boarding school of Vadodara

Sited on a 14-acre lush green campus in the west of Gujarat’s cultural capital, Vadodara (aka Baroda) famous for its banyan trees and vibrant festivals, Navrachana International School (estb.2006) is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. Popularly known as NISV-CBSE, it has established a formidable reputation for providing values-based holistic education with strong focus on future readiness to its 817 students, including 80 boarders, instructed by 70 highly qualified teachers.
In the latest EW India School Rankings 2025-26, this CBSE (Delhi)-affiliated co-educational school is ranked among the Top 3 in Gujarat and the #1 day-cum-boarding school of Vadodara (pop.2.4 million). A class I-XII school that practices as well as teaches environment preservation, last year, NISV-CBSE was conferred the International Green School Award at the 9th Green Mentors Conference in New York.

Tejal Amin
Navrachana International School was promoted two decades ago under the aegis of the Vadodara-based Navrachana Education Society chaired by Executive Chairperson, Tejal Amin. Currently, the society manages four K-12 Navrachana schools driven by the common objective of “transforming young minds into responsible global citizens, ready to lead the nation towards a brighter and inclusive future”.
“At NISV, our mission is to nurture future-ready individuals — adaptive innovators, ethical problem-solvers and compassionate creators. This transformation is supported by four pillars: innovator’s mindset, entrepreneurial engine, conscious core, and boundaryless classroom. Together, they shape a learning experience that goes beyond traditional education. Moreover, our campus is designed as a ‘Living Laboratory,’ where ideas are explored, tested, and applied in real-life contexts. Through this approach, we are committed to producing resilient graduates equipped with core competencies, character, and courage to design a more humane, sustainable, and equitable world,” says Tejal Amin.
To fulfil this objective, the school’s management has invested liberally in state-of-the-art academic and sports infrastructure. NISV’s green campus houses air-conditioned academic and admin blocks with wide corridors and a central open-air quadrangle. The low-rise academic block houses 36 spacious smart classrooms, seven modern science and computer laboratories, hi-tech multimedia, music and art rooms, a 200-seat auditorium, a dining hall and separate junior and senior libraries with an aggregate 35,000 volumes. Separate hostels for boys and girls host aesthetically designed air-conditioned suites, ICT-enabled study lounges and recreation areas.
“In NISV, education is designed to develop the whole child — intellectually, emotionally, physically, socially, and ethically. Academic rigour is carefully balanced with arts, sports, well-being education, and community service. Therefore, our curriculum is designed to challenge and engage students to develop their multiple intelligences, with teachers trained in contemporary, learner-centric pedagogies. Professional development is sustained through in-house programs and workshops including exchange programmes with schools in the US, France, Germany and Malaysia. Moreover, our low 1:12 teacher-pupil ratio ensures personalised attention for every student,” says Kashmira Jaiswal, a Fulbright Scholar and linguistics and business management alumna of the College of Saint Rose, New York (USA), with over two decades of teaching and admin experience, who was appointed Principal of NISV in April 2024.
Inevitably, sports education is accorded high importance at NISV. The school’s impressive sports infrastructure includes dedicated grounds for football and cricket, a 400-metre athletics track, lawn tennis, volleyball and basketball courts, an indoor gym, roller-skating rink, table tennis, chess and carrom rooms and an all-weather Olympic size 50 metre swimming pool. Unsurprisingly, NISV students have excelled in shooting at the international level, and state and national-level basketball and football tournaments
Jaiswal takes pains to stress that co-curricular and skills development is integrated into the curriculum. Co-curricular education and skills in painting, drawing, sculpture, heritage crafts, vocal and instrumental music, dance, drama, robotics, 3-D printing, web-designing, app-making etc are honed throughout the academic year. Moreover, environment and sustainability education is accorded top billing with students drilled to understand causes and effects of climate change. To inspire climate action, adoption and/or planting and nurturing native saplings under its Mission Million Trees and Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaigns is mandatory. Students also actively participate in the international ‘CAP-Climate Action Project’ and lead biodiversity surveys, pioneer zero-waste campaigns, design bird feeders/houses, and volunteer with NGOs for real-world impact.
The NISV management’s balanced education strategy and commitment to teacher training has paid off by way of excellent academic outcomes. Of the 54 students who wrote the CBSE class XII school-leaving exam in February-March 2025, nine averaged 90 percent-plus with the two toppers averaging 97.2 percent and 94.4 percent respectively. In the 2025 class X CBSE board exam, 16 of 65 students averaged 90 percent-plus.
“To remain ahead of the curve through innovative pedagogies, we have integrated STEM, robotics and Design-Thinking into everyday learning. I am confident this will nurture children’s higher order thinking skills and stimulate left-and right-brain synergy through competitions, project-based learning, international events, and exchange programmes. These innovations have built a strong foundation for futuristic education. Meanwhile to meet the growing demand for admissions, we have begun the groundwork for a new academic building, expected to be commissioned by 2029,” says Amin.
Intensive training for teachers to ensure they are technically equipped to harness the opportunities presented by the AI revolution is high on the Navrachana Group’s agenda. “Our focus will include digital and financial literacy, AI prompt engineering, critical thinking, problem-solving, emotional intelligence, resilience, and collaboration — skills essential for success in rapidly evolving Indian industry,” says Amin.
