Three Haryana universities have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) to strengthen research collaboration, academic exchange and innovation across institutions.
The agreements, signed between Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies (MRIIRS), Kurukshetra University and Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU), provide a framework for joint research, faculty development programmes, conferences, workshops, knowledge exchange and shared use of laboratories and academic resources. The partnerships will also support joint supervision of undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral research, curriculum development, scholarly publications, technology development and participation in national and international research funding opportunities. The initiative also aims to promote multidisciplinary learning, credit mobility and academic collaboration in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Sanjay Srivastava, Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS, said the collaboration would encourage interdisciplinary learning, strengthen research and expand academic opportunities for students and faculty. Prof. Meenakshi S. Khurana, Executive Director and Dean, International Affairs and Collaborations, MRIIRS, said the partnership would bring together complementary strengths in academics, skills education and industry engagement. Dr Monika Goel, Executive Director and Dean, Academics, MRIIRS, said the collaborations would support joint curriculum development, research supervision, scholarly publications and faculty development.
The MoUs were signed during a lecture series and exchange ceremony at Kurukshetra University. The participating institutions will constitute a Joint Coordination Committee to identify collaborative activities, review progress and implement agreed action plans. As part of the programme, Prof. Srivastava delivered a lecture on leadership based on the Bhagavad Gita and its relevance to contemporary institutions.
